Abstract
Aqueous fractions from Korean red ginseng inhibited the phosphorylations of 40KD and 20KD polypeptides which were induced by phorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate (100nM) in human platelets. Much more carbohydrates were contained in the aqueous
fractions
than
proteins. An aqueous fraction extracted with methanol, mainly, consists of glycoproteins, molecular weights of which were below 18KD. We may infer that the aqueous fraction from Korean red ginseng do antitumorous and antiplatelet functions
